Depot Farm Stand is a family owned and operated business. We have been in Merrimack for over 45 years.
We started by selling native produce and have expanded to raising perennials and offering locally grown annuals, herbs, vegetable plants, rose bushes and flowering shrubs. We have also added a great country gift shop that changes with decorating and gift suggestions as the seasons change.
Some of the gift ideas we carry :
We open for business in the early spring: usually about April 1st or several days before Easter….whichever comes first. We offer bulb pans and tulip bouquets as well as decorations and gifts for Easter weekend .
Our perennials from the previous year are usually uncovered about this time and it's always exciting to see the new growth of spring. We continually receive deliveries of perennials throughout Apil as well as some of the flowering shrubs.
May starts with a bang! Mother's Day!! Everyone is ready to plant flowers and vegetables even though our frosty nights are not yet over. Our hanging baskets have arrived and will continue to do so all through the summer.
By Memorial Day Weekend we are safely planting . The cemetery pans are so colorful and numerous to choose from. Hanging baskets for sun and shade are bursting with color! Hundreds of varieties of both sun and shade perennials have arrived. Roses are here as well as many more shrubs have arrived. The tables of annuals, herbs, and vegetales plants are full. The Proven Winner annual varieties have arrived with many unusual annuals not found anywhere else.
Our summer perennial park continues to burst with color. Our staff is willing to help with suggestions and garden designs. Bring in your measurements and pictures; sun and shade hours for the area you want to plant; we can layout some ideas for you.
The early summer starts with fresh strawberries in June and blueberries in July. Fresh peas, beans, squash , cukes, then NH corn and tomatoes! Combine all of those with the NH fruits in season; peaches, plums, nectaries, and of course NH apples!
The taste of NH produce can't be beat! It's a great time to can or freeze that great taste for the winter months.
Our fall displays start in August as the kids get ready to return to school. Inside and outside, we have some great decorating ideas.
And of course, we still encourage you to plant that new perennial garden or shrubs for the following year. The fall colors are wonderful!
The mums have arrived, coupled with tons of pumpkins of all sizes. Corn stalks, hay bales, ghosts and witches….everything to create a wonderful display in your yard.
The NH apple varieties are numerous. The fresh native corn continues usually through Columbus Day. Come enjoy a fall day in our fall set up and don't forget your camera. We are here to help take that family photo for you.
Inside the gift shop is some great fall decor. Seasonal pieces for your home or a gift….Halloween decor is plentiful as well. Come in and enjoy the fun! As the fall gets underway the thoughts of the holidays begin. Orders for your favorite pies, cheesecakes, breads, etc are beginning. (of course we take orders all season long as well). Order early and you will have one less thing to do yourself.
A week or so before the Thanksgiving Holiday, the fresh greens start to arrive. This brings the fresh smell of balsam to remind us that another holiday is just around the corner.
The fresh wreaths and Christmas trees soon follow. Decorated wreaths of all sizes; 10"-36" are available. Hand tied bows in many colors and sizes are available for those that want to decorate their own. Hand tied roping to decorate the outside is available in several varieties.
Our gift shop is bursting with gifts and decorating ideas for both inside and outside. Goodies can be ordered for your parties or for your big day.
Gift baskets made to order are always available. They make great gifts for teachers, secretaries, neighbors, etc. Shop early and save yourself a trip to the mall. We also will ship you gifts nationwide.
We finish off our year the week after Christmas. We are closed on Christmas and the following day (26th). We then open the next couple of days for a sale, and pack up on the 30th and 31st as we close the doors about 2 pm on New Years Eve Day.
All year long we ship nationwide to your friends and family. We gladly send NH Maple syrup, gift baskets, decor, fruit, etc. for any occasion.
We are available by email during the winter months thru our email; email@example.com or anytime thru our FaceBook page.
